Shared Waters Film Screening - OREM Conference (Online)

Attend the online OREM Conference, during which Shared Waters will be screened!

One River, Ethics Matter (OREM) | November 12 & 13, 2026 | 8:30 - 12:00 PM PT

The OREM conference addresses the future of the Columbia River. OREM-12 is free, virtual, and open to the citizens of the Columbia River watershed and the international public.

The US-Canada border is the longest in the world, crossing the Great Lakes, Yukon River, and the Columbia River. US-Canada negotiations over the Columbia River's future are dead, at least for now. Shared waters means shared responsibilities, especially as we face climate change. These impacts are accelerating: drought, warming waters, historic low returns of sockeye, steelhead, and Spring Chinook salmon, fires forcing the evacuation of the hospital, and destroying over 700 homes. The dashboard warning lights are flashing. What do we do? Where is the way forward? This is the focus of OREM-12: how do we do good work in challenging times?

The conference title, "All Our Relations" is an Indigenous concept recognizing humans are not separate from nature but part of a sacred web of life. OREM-12 is hosted by the Upper Columbia United Tribes (UCUT) and Washington State University (WSU).
